The airline continues to strengthen its network to offer customers more travel options to and from Miami

American Airlines continues to evolve its network to offer customers more travel options than ever before.

American recently celebrated 30 years serving MIA, and now it has much more to celebrate with additional service to LIM, SCL and GRU, ready to begin next year.

"American's leading position in Miami is something we are extremely proud of and committed to maintaining," said Vasu Raja, Vice President of Network and Programming Planning for American. “We have a range of possibilities from our port of departure to Latin America and we are excited about the opportunity to use our domestic force to improve our international network. We will continue to grow, compete and prosper in a region of the world where we have a long history and a bright future. ”

"American Airlines is the Miami airline and we appreciate your dedication to the city by offering more flight options so that local residents can get to know the world, and more opportunities to welcome customers in our big city," said Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos. Gimenez

American currently operates two daily flights to LIM from MIA, and next spring it will increase operations to three daily flights throughout the year in a Boieng 757, providing more service than any other airline to one of the largest cities in South America. And next winter he warms up a little more with an additional flight to the capital of Chile, Santiago, and a third flight to the largest city in Brazil, São Paulo, both operated with a Boeing 777-200.
