The beautiful Ecuadorian capital is nestled in the Andes and surrounded by volcanoes. It offers a series of experiences that will always be kept in the memory of the visitor
Historical, cultural Quito full of art, nature, flavors and its people so special that it offers an experience like no other.
The city nestled in the Andes and surrounded by volcanoes with a surprising beauty offers a series of experiences that will always remain in our tourist memory.
It has a Historic Center declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978. There you can visit the Plaza Grande where in its Architectural Ensemble incredible buildings converge by its facade and history, such as the Government House, the Cathedral with its collection of works of art of the time and the famous dome where you can see the old town. Near there, just steps away is the Church of The Company of Jesus Joya del Barroco in America, its beauty surprises our imagination beginning its work in 1605 which took 160 years, its wealth also stands out for being covered all in slices of bread of gold.
A few meters from there is La Ronda street famous for its stately appearance, its restaurants and craft shops.
Visiting the Mirador del Panecillo allows you to observe the entire city and see how it is assimilated to the geography surrounded by volcanoes. Another option is to visit the Quito Cable Car with a view over 4,200 meters high, something incredible.
Only less than an hour can we reach the Middle of the World where in its Intinian Museum you can observe physical phenomena that only occur there at that geographical point.
For those who love plants and in the same direction, a few minutes in the middle of an incredible, varied and well-packed forest is the El Pahuma reserve, there orchids abound like all kinds of birds, a true festival of colors. Following the route, but back to Quito it is important to visit the tourist place par excellence in what was a volcano with unparalleled views to be on the edge of the abyss with the possibility of savoring the rich Ecuadorian cuisine in the restaurant of the same name.
Already in the city it is essential not to visit the neighborhoods of La Floresta known for its traditional houses where renowned families lived, although some are still there. The neighborhood La Mariscal is another point where you can feel the night of the city for the abundance of places to enjoy such as restaurants, discos and others.
This brief description does not honor the city because there is much more to discover and experience because I invite you to visit it.
