During the fair Yoanki Jesus Nieves Rodriguez, director of Marketing for LATAM and the Dominican Republic, presented all the news of the chain focused mainly on the differentials of its hotels
Iberostar Hotels & Resorts was present once again at the FIT with an innovative proposal for professionals in the sector and consumers, inviting them to enjoy new products in the Caribbean and a plastic-free and environmentally responsible experience in their resorts.
During the fair, Iberostar, in the hands of its Marketing Director for LATAM and the Dominican Republic, Yoanki Jesus Nieves Rodriguez, presented all the news of the hotel chain and highlighted the new differentials of its resorts in the Dominican Republic with the opening of the Coral Level at Iberostar Selection Bávaro and the renewal of Iberostar Selection Bávaro. Yoanki also advanced the new renovation plans of Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus in Bayahibe and the incorporation of the Iberostar Grand Fontana Di Trevi in Rome to its Grand hotel portfolio.
Laboratory of corals at Iberostar Selection Bávaro
In line with its leadership in responsible tourism, Iberostar consolidates its commitment to the environment and the oceans through Wave of Change, a genuine movement with three lines of action: elimination of single-use plastics, responsible consumption of fish and health Coastal By the end of 2019, the chain will have eliminated those of single-use plastics from the rooms of its hotels and in 2020 it undertakes to remove them from all areas of the hotels, as far as the law allows.
In relation to coastal health initiatives, its recently opened coral laboratory, located in the Iberostar Selection Bávaro, in the Dominican Republic is striking. It is a genetic coral bank designed to contribute to the protection of marine life against the global increase in temperatures and the pandemic that is devastating coral reefs by leaps and bounds. But this is not the only feature that makes it exceptional, but also has facilities on land that house 12 species and 180 individual corals. Following its commitment to promote a change of mentality regarding the oceans, Iberostar provides hotel guests and other visitors with access to the laboratory and turns these learning visits into fun moments for its younger guests through its children's entertainment program and youthful Star Camp.
Renovations and new openings
On the other hand, and in line with its constant investment plan to guarantee the best quality through innovation and renewal of its product, Iberostar is immersed in an ambitious repositioning and expansion project of its hotel portfolio.

The 5-star resort offers 595 newly renovated rooms distributed in picturesque bungalows ideal for families. It also incorporates a new Star Camp area, swimming pool, massage rooms and a gastronomic offer with countless local and multicultural options, among other things.
Included in the modification process, a part of the hotel acquires its own identity to give life to a new hotel called Coral Level at Iberostar Selection Bávaro. In addition to having all the benefits and use of the facilities of Iberostar Selection Bávaro, guests of Coral Level, an exclusive hotel within another hotel, have two swimming pools, their own reception and lobby bar, an exclusive buffet and a preferential location In beachfront. The Iberostar Selection Bávaro opens its doors at the end of November and the Coral Level at Iberostar Selection Bávaro in December.
On the other hand, Iberostar will have a reform project for Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus that includes the renovation of the rooms and common areas, as well as the renovation of the Star Prestige spa and solarium (for clients of The Club). Among the investments that will allow the hotel to move to the Iberostar Selection category (Iberostar Selection Hacienda Dominicus), the renovation of the Palapa de la Playa, La Goleta restaurant and the expansion of the main buffet are also noteworthy. In addition, the youngest can enjoy AquaFun and the Star Camp program with updated facilities.
