President of the Dominican Republic inaugurates the expansion of the Now Onyx hotel

The complex includes 320 new suites, two themed restaurants, bars, swimming pools, water park and attractive family areas, for children and teenagers

 

With an act headed by the honorable President of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina, and in the company of the Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier García; Enrique Martinón García, President of the Martinón Group, Alex Zozaya, Executive President of Apple Leisure Group, Alejandro Reynal, CEO of Apple Leisure Group and Gonzalo Del Peón, President of AMResorts, was inaugurated and presented the extension of the Now Onyx Punta Cana hotel.

Located on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic, wrapped between nature and the ocean, the new hotel encompasses an extension called Splash, an ideal area for the whole family consisting of 320 Premium Jr. Suites including 16 Family Suites that can accommodate up to 10 people, overlooking the lush gardens or the imposing central pool.

As explained by Enrique Martinón, the new set of rooms consists of its own reception space for the convenience of customers.

“The main element of this extension is a large pool consisting of a slow river 3.5 meters wide and more than 200 meters long. With this expansion, the Now Onyx Hotel becomes a beautiful 822 Suites resort, including 10 Preferred Club Master Suites, ”he added prior to unveiling the commemorative plaque and cutting the inaugural ribbon.

The attractions also include a central pool consisting of a wet bar and a Dry bar, entertainment stage and four slides, a Kamikaze slide 11.5 meters high, a Black Hole Slide that turns in circles, a half-moon slide and Black hole slide that ends at the central waterfall of the pool.


In addition, there is the new Explorer's Club for children from 3 to 12 years old, which consists of: general area of ​​games and activities, animation stage, painting and crafts workshop, videogames room, cooking workshop and bar, and outdoor garden of games; and the new Core Zone, Club for Teenagers with online gaming room, batting cage, basketball court, bar and dance floor.

There are also two à la carte restaurants, one Mexican and one Argentine, as well as a market that offers four food options to offer food service during the day.

Likewise, the Minister of Tourism applauded the novelties and added value that the Martinón group and the AMResorts chain take to the area, one of the main poles and tourist attractions of the Dominican Republic.

The event also had the presence of personalities from the tourism, business, social, government and government authorities of the province.
