Montevideo Airport received international certification in customer experience

Carrasco International Airport was recognized with the first level of certification in Customer Experience by the Airports Council International (ACI), a non-profit organization that represents the world's airports.

In this way, the air terminal became the second in Latin America to receive this accreditation, which recognizes its actions and practices of continuous improvement to provide a first level experience to its passengers.

This certification is unique in the aviation industry and is a globally recognized system that sets management standards for airports to offer the highest levels of attention and experience to their customers. ACI proposes five levels of accreditation that cover different management practices and progressively guarantee the continuous improvement of services.

The passenger experience is a strategic pillar for Carrasco International Airport. Through the development of actions focused on passenger services throughout the year, the terminal is committed to the use of technology, innovation and the warmth of its human team to make its experience easier, agile, secure and enjoyable.

“We are aware that we are the gateway to and from Uruguay. That is why we want every Uruguayan to pass through the terminal to feel proud of its airport and that visitors from other countries get a positive impression of our country and its people from the first moment, ”said Federico Cabrera, Manager of Passenger Experience from Carrasco International Airport.

Some of the most prominent airports in the world have been distinguished with this certification, among which are John F. Kennedy International Airport and La Guardia Airport in New York. In Latin America, Quito International Airport was the first terminal to receive certification.
