Panama works on a strategy to revive tourism after the pandemic

The ATP administrator indicated that a few weeks ago several presidents of industry unions were called to initiate the formation of an Alliance for the Recovery of the Tourism Sector.
"The main challenge facing the sector is to save the tourist infrastructure that has cost us so much investment. Various financing alternatives for microentrepreneurs are currently being studied. Small, medium and large companies. Both to seek to deleverage investments and to provide support financial to start operations when the health crisis passes, "said Ivan Eskildsen.
In the letter, the ATP Administrator pointed out that, in the preliminary discussions, it can be concluded that the reactivation can occur in two stages:
1. Promotion for domestic tourism taking into account that those who reside here will be able to move much earlier and more easily than visitors from abroad.
2. Promotion to generate international tourism in an environment of aggressive competition, with other destinations highly dependent on tourism, investing large sums of money to revive their industries.
Eskildsen also invited those involved in the tourism industry to take advantage of the time detained as "a great opportunity to strengthen ourselves and promote projects that promote knowledge and training."
