In order to provide support to travel agents, wholesalers, event organizers and tourism professionals in Latin America, the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic presented its training program: a free and distance course, which promotes a more comprehensive knowledge from the main regions of the country that seeks to provide them with the necessary tools to facilitate sales to the destination. Upon completion of e-learning, participants will obtain the title of "Specialist in the Dominican Republic" endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism of that country.
Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, Samaná, Puerto Plata, La Romana and Juan Dolio are the modules that make up the program presented by MITUR and to obtain the certification it is necessary to accredit each of them through a questionnaire of 5 questions per module. Participants can access this tool through a computer, laptop, tablet or mobile devices and perform it at a pace and time adjusted to their schedules.
“We live in an anomalous situation at a global level in which doubts coexist with expectations. This phase of strangeness invites reinvention and overcomes uneasiness with projects that improve our professional training. We want to take hopeful steps towards the new normality and for this we invite travel agents to join our training program to become certified as experts in the Dominican Republic, ”said Carolina Pérez, director of the Tourism Office of the Dominican Republic in Mexico.
