Radisson Hotel Group announced its new "Radisson Security Protocol", a new program of detailed cleaning and disinfection procedures, in association with SGS, the leading global inspection, verification, testing and certification company.

One of Radisson Hotel Group's top priorities is the health and safety of its guests, team members, and business partners. Within the current global scenario, the company has carried out a comprehensive review of all existing processes and has worked with a team of experts to develop and validate additional protocols. These new improved protocols include an operational guide and comprehensive health and safety procedures validated by SGS, which will be adapted according to local requirements and recommendations, to guarantee the safety and tranquility of guests from check-in to check-out. The Radisson Security Protocol will further strengthen the existing Radisson Hotel Group's rigorous sanitation, cleaning and disinfection guidelines at its hotels around the world.

These actions include hand sanitizing stations at all entrances, the use of personal protective equipment and protective screens, frequency improvement and cleaning and disinfection logging, social distancing in all areas of hotels, including meeting facilities and events, training on the guidelines taken by local health authorities and the Centers for Disease Control, together with the World Health Organization, review of food safety standards and comprehensive training of personnel. Radisson Hotel Group's enhanced cleaning and disinfection measures have been developed in collaboration with global hygiene solutions provider Diversey, combining best-in-class cleaning and hygiene actions with rugged protocols and proprietary technology designed for healthcare .

Radisson Hotel Group will present an official cleaning and disinfection certification issued by SGS to guarantee the highest standards of cleaning, hygiene and security, through a centralized validation process. Under this program, hotels can receive an approval label by completing a comprehensive local audit that includes on-site testing using the latest technology.

“At Radisson Hotel Group, we are committed to providing a clean and safe environment for our guests and team members. COVID-19 radically changed the world, so it is key that we strive to protect all who work, stay, and partner with us as we reopen our doors to a new era of travel. To do this, we have thoroughly vetted all areas of the hotel experience, and we are proud to have partnered with SGS to create our Radisson Hotels Security Protocol program, ”said Federico J. González, CEO of Radisson Hospitality AB and President of the Radisson Hotel Group Global Steering Committee.

Frankie Ng, CEO of SGS, adds that: “SGS's global leadership in the Travel and Hospitality sector has enabled our network of health and safety experts to develop a comprehensive and direct protocol to verify management procedures and the status of disinfection of hotels. Our goal is to ensure that maximum hygiene standards are met, to protect guests as well as members of the Radisson Hotel Group team. "

Radisson Hotel Group will soon announce an extension of its brand commitment that includes 20 Steps and an additional 10 Step protocol for Meetings and Events. The company expects to complete all necessary operational details of this program in the coming weeks.
