Carlos Joaquín expressed yesterday that the return must be made with particular and special protocols. Starting on June 1, a regional traffic light system will be established
The Governor of Quintana Roo participated in the morning conference of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, where the Plan for the Return to the New Normality was presented.
The official said that Quintana Roo requires a gradual and careful return to activities, given the economic difficulties generated by the health emergency, with much-needed action protocols.
Joaquín explained the economic difficulties that prevail in the entity, such as the loss of about 80 thousand jobs, which represent almost 22 percent of all the state had, even with the Solidarity Pact for Quintana Roo, with employers and workers , to protect employment.
In addition, from March 10 until today, nearly eight million airplane seats have been canceled.
"This forces us to think about a gradual, careful reopening as soon as possible, but based on two points: saving lives and supporting the economy of families, whose participation has been essential to move forward and get ahead, endure difficult days and hard for the state, ”explained the Governor.
Regarding tourist activities, the Governor of Quintana Roo stressed that the return must be made with particular and special protocols to receive visitors with the sanitary measures that must be taken in air, sea and land transportation.
Likewise, attention will be paid to the operation of hotels, theme parks, tours and tourist services.
"It is essential to have a plan that allows us to maintain clarity, security and certainty for the return. No one knows better than local governments what happens in the regions, in the cities, in the towns. With a coordination scheme, the best decisions will be made to return to productivity and resume the economy, "said the Governor of Quintana Roo.
Starting on June 1, a regional traffic light system will be established for the reopening of social, educational and economic activities.
