The Ministry of Tourism announced yesterday in live with the tourist trade, the recommended health protocols for 15 tourist segments that wish to apply for the “Responsible Tourism - Clean and Safe” seal. The expectation of the Pasta is that the adoption of the measures will contribute to the resumption of the sector by meeting the new requirements of the tourist, increasingly aware of the issue of safety and hygiene. The protocols were built in partnership with the trade, taking into account international guidelines, and were validated by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).
The initiative aims to assist tourists who, when resuming their travels, will look for tourist establishments that ensure compliance, for example, with hygiene and cleaning requirements to prevent Covid-19. Protocols are available for: Accommodation facilities; Turism agencies; Tourist carriers; Event Organizers; Thematic parks; Tourist camps; Restaurants, Cafeterias, Bars and the like; Water Theme Parks; Car rental for tourists, Tourist Guides, among others.
“With this initiative, Brazil is positioned on the domestic and international scene as a safe destination and prepared to meet a new tourist profile that will emerge after the pandemic. A tourist more interested and concerned with the adoption of sanitary and hygiene measures. The seal created by the Ministry of Tourism is free and will be used throughout Brazil, being an extremely relevant differential in this "NEW" tourism. Although we are currently working with 15 tourist segments, we will be able to expand these protocols at any time ”, commented the Minister of Tourism, Marcelo Álvaro Antônio.
The creation of the seal of good practices in issues associated with biosafety is the first stage of the Brazilian Tourism Recovery Plan, coordinated by MTur in order to minimize the impacts of the pandemic and prepare the sector for a gradual return to activities. The seal will be linked to the Register of Tourist Service Providers (Cadastur).
The stamp, which is totally free, must be pasted in a place with easy access to the customer and will contain a QR Code by which the tourist can consult the measures adopted by that enterprise and / or professional. In addition, it will make it possible to make complaints in case of non-compliance, which may result in the revocation of the seal. In the case of companies, the seal is already available. In the case of tour guides, it should be available in about 20 days.
