Reopening on beaches of Recife and region occurs gradually

The measure occurred after authorization from the State Government for municipalities to manage access to beaches, parks and boardwalks

Porto de Galinhas and the metropolitan region of Recife (PE) are slowly and responsibly resuming tourist activities. Last Saturday (06/20), the locals started the first stage of the gradual reopening of the shore with release only for individual sports activities, pre-established time - from 4 am to 12 pm -, with the mandatory use of masks during the stay in the sand, as well as compliance with prevention, detachment and hygiene measures.

In this first phase, the sale of tents, street vendors and the use of any structure to stay on site, such as chairs, coolers and the sea bath, are prohibited. The measure occurred after authorization given by the State Government for municipalities to regulate access to beaches, parks and boardwalks.

The gradual reopening of the beaches is focused on boosting local tourism and the state of Pernambuco. In May, the National Confederation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC) estimated that the tourism sector in the country has accumulated losses of R $ 62.5 billion since the beginning of the new coronavirus pandemic, on March 11.
