RIU begins July with the reopening of 54 hotels worldwide

The RIU chain is ready for the summer season with the reopening of 54 hotels in 16 countries after the tourist break caused by COVID-19. The hotel company resumed its activity gradually in some of the company's establishments at the end of May, however, it is now when it faces the summer season offering its clients more than 50 hotels and above all, much work and enthusiasm for international tourism to recover The normality.

For the peace of mind of guests and collaborators, RIU has strict safety and hygiene protocols and trusts that customers will choose to enjoy their holidays again at their preferred destinations. For example, in Spain, the chain has reopened 20 hotels receiving its first national and international clients in all the destinations in which it is present. The last hotels that have announced their reopening are: the Riu Vistamar, on July 3, and the Riu Palace Oasis, on July 10, in Gran Canaria; and in Mallorca, the Riu Playa Park and the Riu Festival, open on July 12 and 19 respectively. Also in the Portuguese Algarve tourists are already enjoying the Riu Guarana and on July 4th the Riu Palace Madeira will reopen.

In the Caribbean area, the openings will continue on July 1 when the Riu Palace Bavaro, in the Dominican Republic, the Riu Palace Paradise Island in the Bahamas and the Riu Dunamar in Costa Mujeres, Mexico are reactivated. In addition, on July 10, the Riu Palace Aruba, in Aruba, will open its doors. Already in Asia, the Riu Sri Lanka reopens on July 3, while, starting on July 8, the Riu Creole is launched in Mauritius. Two days later, the Riu Tikida Dunas, the Riu Tikida Palmeraie, the Riu Palace Taghazout and the Riu Tikida Garden will reopen in Morocco. At the end of the month it will be the turn of Riu Palace Zanzibar in Tanzania.
 
In this way, the RIU chain has already reopened 54 hotels in 16 of the 19 countries in which it operates: Spain, Germany, Costa Rica, Mexico, the United States, Bulgaria, Portugal, Ireland, Jamaica, Mauritius, Aruba, the Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Morocco, Zanzibar, and Sri Lanka.

All hotels that resume their activity strictly follow the 17 security protocols included in the RIU Manual for the Post-COVID hotel. This guide created by the chain in collaboration with the consulting firm Preverisk, offers the maximum possible guarantees of health and safety for clients and collaborators.
 
Furthermore, RIU has created a specific training program for its collaborators to apply these new protocols. The measures are meticulous and strict, based on limiting hotel occupancy to 50% or 60%, except for more restrictive legal regulations, to offer maximum tranquility and security to users and employees, and they will gradually relax in the as health authorities issue new regulations.
