Air operations will officially restart in the Dominican Republic today, it is estimated that more than 400 flights could arrive during the month, from and to different points abroad, through the various international airports.

The different airlines that have established routes with the Dominican Republic sent their flight schedules to the Civil Aeronautic authorities during the month of July.

According to the reports, more than 60% of the flights will be made through the airports of Las Américas (AILA) and Punta Cana and the rest by the airports Cibao, Santiago, Gregorio Luperón, Puerto Plata, La Romana, Catey, Samaná and Isabela, Joaquín Balaguer.

It was revealed that the majority of flights will come from the United States and Europe, and it was said that as the days of restarting air operations approach, the number of airlines interested in coming to the country increases.

Currently, the Dominican Republic has bilateral air agreements with more than 80 countries around the world, more than 40 of them signed in the last two years, placing the nation as the country that has the most agreements in that area.

It is worth remembering that Covid-19 has killed more than 600 people and more than 28 thousand have been affected by the virus that causes the disease, many of them staying hospitalized and others under home medical care.
