Best Day Travel Group continues its restructuring process

The firm maintains 80% of its workforce, even though the epidemiological traffic light only allows operating at 30% of capacity

Consistent with its social commitment, Best Day Travel Group, a leading tourism corporate in Mexico and one of the leading in Latin America, reaffirms its solidarity with the travel industry and works in different lines of action, so that the impact of the new normality, derived from the COVID-19 pandemic, be as minor as possible, in relation to its operation and services.

As reported since the beginning of April, Best Day has implemented special measures, in order to comply with all the necessary protocols in matters of health, hygiene and healthy distance, to guarantee the safety of its clients and collaborators.

In this sense, and despite operating at 30% of its capacity, Best Day Travel Group and its collaborators have managed to maintain, jointly, 80% of the payroll that was available before the start of this global pandemic. In this way and in a solidary plan and with a true team, without antecedents, the company and its collaborators agreed to the application of solidary days, at all levels, thus achieving the maintenance of staff income during this first phase of reactivation.

"At Best Day Travel Group we follow the instructions of the government of the State of Quintana Roo, regarding the reactivation of our activities in a gradual, orderly and responsible manner. In this sense, and even with the actions we have implemented to cut costs and streamline processes, we have given priority to our collaborators, since we are clear that they are a fundamental part of the achievements that the company has had over more than 36 years. Once again, we show that success is in the union. By agreeing to solidarity days, we were able to avoid cuts, thus supporting more people with a source of income in these difficult times. Together we will pass through this crisis, just as we did at other times throughout our history. We are already in the recovery phase, every day there is more tourist influx and, with the help of God and complying with the protocols, we will soon be back, stronger than ever. ” highlighted Alejandro Calligaris, CEO of Best Day Travel Group.

As reported in a timely manner, Best Day Travel Group's business lines have complied with official protocols. Through them, the “Safe Travels” certificate granted by the World Travel & Tourism Counsil (WTTC) and the Certification in Health Protection and Prevention in Tourist Facilities (CPPSIT), granted by the Government of the State of Quintana Roo, were obtained from through the Secretaries of Tourism and Health

Best Day maintains its philosophy of "doing everything with love", its policy of offering the most reliable travel experience and the best conditions of service, by offering preferential rates to the more than 6 million travelers it serves annually.
