The MTC validated the protocols presented by ADP Aeropuertos del Perú S.A., LIMA AIRPORT PARTNERS and Aeropuertos Andinos del Perú, authorizing the restart of domestic operations on July 15
The concessionaires Aeropuertos del Perú (AdP), Lima Airport Partners (LAP) and Aeropuertos Andinos del Perú (AAP) received the Sectoral Guidelines for the Prevention of Covid-19 in the provision of the National Passenger Air Transportation Service by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), which approves the health and safety protocols presented by the concessionaires for the resumption of airport operations in the country for national destinations from July 15, with the exception of the regions of Arequipa, ica, Junín, Huánuco, San Martín, Madre
of God and Ancash.
With the official publication of the MTC the Denied and satidas of commercial flights between the regions and Lima are enabled; which were suspended for almost four months, after the declaration of the State of National Emergency. In this sense, for the restart of operations, the Peruvian sepoports, administered by AdP, LAP and AAP, have implemented a series of sanitary and preventive measures, in order to safeguard the safety and health of passengers and the airport community.
The general manager of Airports of Peru, Evans Avendaño, reported that health protocols have been implemented in all the concessioned airports, two of which have the necessary measures to preserve the health of passengers, users and collaborators; guaranteeing safety, continuity and wholesomeness in operations.
"Our greatest commitment is to guarantee the safety and health of our passengers and the airport community. To this end, during this period of mandatory isolation we have been working permanently on the protocols and measures necessary to make the restart of operations as optimal as possible" , said Juan José Salmón, general manager of Lima Airport Partners.
For his part, Raúl Diaz Disz, general manager of Andean Airports of Peru, reaffirmed that the reopening of airports will not only contribute to the economic reactivation of the regions, but will also perpetuate the return and reunion of many Peruvians who, due to the health emergency , were enlisted in different regions.
"We recognize the joint work of the airports and the Peruvian authorities in the development of sanitary protocols that will allow a safe reactivation of domestic air operations on July 15," stressed Rafael Echevamme, ACHLAC Director General.
