The Female Association of Executives and Tourism Companies of the Dominican Republic will be chaired by Jakaira Cid, Northern Regional Director of the Ministry of Tourism
Through a statement, Teresa Rubina Valencia Dongo, president of the union, informed Cid about the decision of her choice so that she would be the founder of the chapter of said women's association in the Dominican Republic.
The main objective of FIASSET is to be a non-profit association that is dedicated to promoting, developing activities and executing tourism initiatives and projects. With its opening in the Dominican Republic, under the name of the Female Association of Tourism Executives and Companies of the Dominican Republic (AFFET - RD), it seeks to achieve the philosophy of the Federation, integrating the associations and companies of this country, with the objective of providing services with high professional standards to the tourism industry.
Jakaira Cid, North Regional Director of the Tourism Ministry as president; Deyanira Papaterra, Deputy Director of Corporate Business of the Tourist Area in Banreservas, as Vice President; Anny Mariel Gómez, communications director of the Puerto Plata Chamber of Commerce as secretary and public relations; Yineida Fernández, manager of culture, as treasurer; Ana María Frías Rosario, lawyer from the firm Russin Vecchi & Heredia Bonetti, as director before FIASEET and legal advisor; Pilar Constanzo, Tourism and Destination Management consultant, as vice director before FIASEET.
Also part of this board, Luz Esther Gómez, manager of Chichigua Restaurant, as director; Mabel Báez, President OWIT Dominican Republic, member I; Rosangel Rodríguez, director of the destination at BD Experience and Gray Line, as vocal II; Meicy A. Díaz, director of Sales and Marketing for the Hodelpa Nicolás de Ovando, Novus Plaza and Casa Real Events Center hotels, will be member III; Luz Parra, president of the Chocolate Association of the Altamira Basin (Chocal), as alternate member I; Oriana Pavese, CEO of Prodigy Realty Solutions, will serve as the principal account reviewer; Yndhira Vega, from Easy Events Solutions as event coordinator and substitute account reviewer.
Jakaira Cid thanked for the distinction, and stressed that through this association, Dominican tourism will continue to be strengthened, promoting various initiatives linked to the countries that are part of FIASEET.
She expressed her enthusiasm for working with a group of women who have carved out an outstanding career in the Dominican tourism sector and in different social tasks, and who together with them, protected under the Ministry of Tourism, as well as with the support of the different Clusters and National tourism associations will try to continue betting and supporting the development of this important industry.
