Jericoacoara National Park reopens for visitors

On Saturday one of the most beautiful attractions in Brazil opened its doors gradually and monitored. Security protocols have been adopted to prevent contagion of Covid-19

Another Brazilian tourist destination resumes its activities this week. The Jericoacoara National Park (CE) has reopened to the public starting this Saturday, August 8, in a gradual and monitored manner, adopting security protocols against the coronavirus. The authorization of the Chico Mendes Institute for the Conservation of Biodiversity (ICMBio) establishes several guidelines of measures to be adopted for the safety of visitors.

Among the established rules are the mandatory use of a mask during the entire visit period, the supply of alcoholic gel or hygiene product to visitors, the disinfection of environments and personal protective equipment, necessary for some attractions. In addition, the capacity of the park and the duration of the stay will be reduced and it will be necessary to maintain a distance of two meters between each person.

ICMBio's orientation is that parks, to avoid queues, prioritize online ticket sales, services or schedules. In addition, there will be signage on the ground at a distance of 2 meters from the counter and between customers.

Gradually, ICMBio is reopening national parks, in accordance with the regulations of each state and municipality, with planning and obeying all security guidelines to avoid the proliferation of Covid-19. So far, ten Federal Conservation Units have been totally or partially opened for visits.
