During these months, the Bahamian complex has spent countless hours devising a solid approach to security in accordance with the guidelines established by the authorities of the Caribbean country
Baha Mar, the hotel complex located on the beaches of Nassau in The Bahamas, stopped its operations last March as a result of the global health crisis, closing the doors of its Rosewood, SLS and Grand Hyatt hotels, as well as its more than 40 restaurants and bars, casino, golf course and other services and facilities. Amid a time of global challenges and travel restrictions around the world, Baha Mar will postpone its reopening until the fall of this year in order to ensure the health of its associates, guests and the citizens of The Bahamas.
Meanwhile, expansion works at the complex have resumed, offering more amenities and entertainment upon reopening. Among these is Mini Blue, a fun 18-hole mini golf course, in addition there will be new luxury boutiques that include the brands Tory Burch, Mont Blanc and Christian Louboutin; as well as the arrival of one of the favorite international restaurants, Sugar Factory. By the end of the year, acclaimed Chef Marcus Samuelsson's restaurant will join Baha Mar's portfolio of dining experiences. In addition to the Baha Bay development plan, Baha Mar's impactful aquatic adventure experience continues in time for its long-awaited launch in 2021.
During these months, Baha Mar has spent countless hours devising a robust approach to security, in accordance with the guidelines established by the Office of the Prime Minister of The Bahamas (OPM) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC ) that provides guests and visitors with the peace of mind they deserve by carefully incorporating the necessary hygiene measures without neglecting the spectacular experiences that have highlighted it throughout its three years of operation.
Day and night, the cleaning staff will work to keep all areas of Baha Mar clean and disinfected using the latest technology to create a safe environment. Electrostatic sprayers, nebulizers and vaporizers will be used to apply hospital grade disinfectant to high contact areas and surfaces. Reinforced security measures in food preparation, digitized menu selection, contactless payments through a bracelet, and extensive al fresco dining options will provide a relaxed and worry-free environment. In addition, social distancing protocols will be implemented throughout the complex, various non-contact hand disinfection stations will be placed and guests will be provided with personal protective equipment. Outside in the sun, there will be more options than ever to enjoy, from yoga and outdoor fitness classes to water sports, golf, tennis, basketball, spacious lounging areas by the multiple pools, and of course the pristine Cable Beach's white sand beaches.
