Guatemala City airport would be reopened on September 18

The air terminal will be equipped with gel alcohol dispensers, supply of biosecurity equipment and staff have been trained to comply with all health protocols

La Aurora International Airport will reopen commercial passenger flights as of September 18, always under the sanitary protocols and recommendations of International Civil Aviation endorsed by the Presidential Commission for Attention to the COVID-19 Emergency (COPRECOVID) to privilege the health of each traveler, administrative staff and airlines.
Aeronáutica Civil has worked in the phases of social distancing and integration of biosafety protocols at La Aurora Airport, and under the leadership and supervision of the Ministry of Health, it is working on the installation of a Health Center that may react in any suspicious case of COVID-19 and will also serve our Guatemalan brothers who enter through the Airport on deported flights.
