The US airline JetBlue announced this Thursday that starting on December 18 it will make a daily route from Los Angeles, California to the Juan Santamaría International Airport (AIJS), while on Wednesdays and Saturdays it will do so to Liberia, Guanacaste.
In addition, JetBlue revealed that it will gradually restart its operations to Costa Rica as of October 17 with the San José - Fort Lauderdale route in Florida; As of October 25, it will fly to the John F. Keneddy International Airport (JFK) in New York and from October 28 to Orlando, Florida. For October, the company is scheduled to fly every Saturday from Liberia to the city of Boston, Massachusetts and from November 7 it will fly to JFK airport.
“The arrival of flights to the country and Liberia means employment for Guanacaste and all the tourist regions, something that we need to reactivate because many people have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, so it fills us with great joy and commitment even more to fully comply with sanitary measures ”, said Gustavo J.
