El Salvador has launched commercial aviation

On Saturday 19 ha, outgoing and incoming flights were partially reactivated. It is expected that on October 4, 100% of the operations will already be executed

The biosecurity protocol of the El Salvador International Airport "San Oscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdamez" has begun its litmus test over the weekend and if there are no problems, its operation will be normalized.

The protocol includes measures such as the mandatory use of a mask for all those entering the airport; signage throughout the terminal to maintain the physical distance of 2 meters; a video surveillance system to detect agglomerations in the different areas of the airport, among others.

In addition, only two companions per vehicle will be allowed into the parking lot, a place that has been designated to drop off and receive passengers.

In the case of detecting a passenger with a temperature above 37.5 degrees, the protocol established by the International Sanitary Office for such cases will be activated.

Airport personnel have been trained to carry out these measures, which have already been put into practice in all repatriation and humanitarian flight operations attended during the COVID-19 emergency.
