Guerrero receives the Safe Travel seal from the World Travel and Tourism Council

This recognition certifies that the State of Guerrero and its tourist destinations have implemented standardized health and hygiene measures and protocols globally

Within the framework of the celebration of World Tourism Day, the Governor of the State of Guerrero, Lic. Héctor Astudillo Flores, officially received the Safe Travel seal, a recognition granted last August by the World Travel and Tourism Council ( WTTC, for its acronym in English).
The Safe Travel seal is endorsed by the World Health Organization and certifies governments and companies around the world that have implemented protocols and measures with global standards in terms of hygiene and health safety in order to provide confidence to customers. international travelers.
The state president, Lic. Héctor Astudillo Flores stressed that this is a very important stimulus in such difficult times in which tourism has had great effects in the world and Guerrero has not been the exception. "This is undoubtedly a recognition for each and every one of those who have some tourist activity, for the spirit that exists in Guerrero of tourism and improving this sector," he said.
The representative of the World Travel and Tourism Council, Alberto Petrearse, mentioned that the “Safe Travels” seal recognizes the work and commitment of Guerrero in maintaining the full confidence of visitors in their tourist destinations as a substantial activity to generate well-being, development and employment ”.
In his message, the Secretary of Tourism in the entity, Ernesto Rodríguez Escalona stressed that this is a great recognition of the tourist destinations of the entity and the shared responsibility between the State Government and businessmen to offer greater protection to visitors.
Also present at this event were the Secretary of Health, Carlos de la Peña Pintos, the President of the Trust for the Tourism Promotion of Acapulco, Eligio Serna Nájera; as well as the Sub-Secretary for Tourism Promotion, Jesús Radilla Calderón.
