The Peruvian Chamber of Construction (CAPECO) awarded the second edition "Architecture and City 2020" Award to the Holiday Inn Lima Miraflores hotel as the best work carried out between 2017 and 2020 in the Lima and Regional Accommodation category.
The hotel is owned by GRUCABA, a company of the Cabada Family, which comments: “We are very grateful for this Award, granted by an entity of recognized prestige such as CAPECO, which recognizes the main purposes that we set for ourselves when designing the hotel, such as , on the one hand, to provide the city with an iconic and unique building that improves the quality of its urban environment, and on the other hand, to value the essence of the Lima Culture, so that the guests who stay or clients who visit the hotel, they can discover it and evoke it throughout all the architectural and decorative elements of the Hotel ”.

Design and Architecture of the hotel
The architectural design was carried out by the Poggione & Biondi Arquitectos Studio, with its prominent architects René Poggione and Susel Biondi, while the interior design was a project by Arq. German Margozzini, inspired by the geometric and minimalist design of the Lima culture on which they were built. The Integral Management of the Project was in charge of the RH10 Hotel Consultant.
In the rooms and public areas of the Hotel you can enjoy the decoration with photographs and sculptures of talented Peruvian artists, such as Maco Vargas, Yihan Tubeh, Isabel Rejtman and Jaime Miranda.
During its design, the values of the Holiday Inn brand were maintained, together with modern architecture and with clear references to the pre-Inca culture that settled in this area of the country years ago, the Lima culture.

“The Huacas of the Lima culture represented the main architectural references for the hotel. The Peruvian essence is always present in the decoration and design of the entire property ”, added the Cabada family.

The construction of the hotel not only stands out for its architecture and design, but for its commitment to corporate social responsibility, by preserving and reinforcing the architectural structure of the Raúl Porras Barnechea Institute, home of the illustrious historian that bears his name, located next to the hotel. The GRUCABA team worked together with the Institute carrying out the structural reinforcement of the house, as well as the expansion and modernization of its reading and conference spaces.
