A competition will be held where seniors from all universities and technical schools specialized in graphic design can participate to choose it

Representatives of the private sector of the Country Brand Multisectoral Commission and the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, announced that they will hold a contest to choose a new logo that represents the Country Brand in which young final-year advertising and design students may participate. of universities and technical level.

They rejected the previous logo, which it presented last week, and which has drawn criticism, questioning and accusations of plagiarism. Collado affirmed that it is unacceptable that this logo is part of the Country Brand strategy and that is why they will start the contest.

"The young man who wins, in addition to the award of seeing his work representing our country, will have the support to install his first advertising agency, with a capital of 3 million pesos and the second place will win 1 million pesos, both with advice for a year affirmed the Minister of Tourism David Collado.

"It is a pride that the logo comes from our people, from the youth representing our culture and our essence." stated the official and clarified that this contest will be managed with the private sector without the intervention of the public sector.

The Country Brand Strategy is divided into five pillars: investment, industry, tourism, culture and people. The objective is to consolidate an advantageous position immediately, which seeks to improve reputation, provide certainty and confidence to attract investment, generate jobs and above all promote national pride.
