The Ministry of Tourism opens a registry of agencies to work tourists from one of the main source markets in the world
Travel agencies interested in working with Chinese tourists in the country will have until December 13 to request accreditation from the Ministry of Tourism. Registration begins on Thursday (11/05) and is part of an agreement between the governments of Brazil and China, through a memorandum of understanding, called the Approved Destination State (ADS). The results of the selection will be announced on December 20, in the Official Gazette of the Federation and on the Pasta website.
According to the Minister of Tourism, Marcelo Álvaro Antônio, the participation of Brazilian agencies in this receptive will be essential for international tourists to travel to Brazil again. “This call marks our intention to bring these foreign travelers back to our country at this time of recovery. China is one of the main emitters of tourists and one of the largest spenders on travel. We will need, more than ever, to show that our country is prepared for this, and that is why this public call comes, to make the experience of these visitors unforgettable, "he said.
To compete in the process, the agencies must be regularized with the National Registry of MTur that groups the people and companies that work in the tourism sector (Cadastur), declare to know the terms of the agreement signed between the two nations and accept the Term of Responsibility. contained in the notice. In Brazil, the Ministry of Tourism is the only body responsible for this selection and only companies authorized by the body will be able to serve Chinese tourists. In September 2017, China signed an agreement for visa facilitation with Brazil. The agreement defined a period of validity of five years for tourist authorizations, allowing multiple entries and a period of stay of 90 days, renewable for up to another 90, every 12 months.
