Avianca appoints Sales Director for Colombia

Avianca has just announced the appointment of Ana María Copete as Sales Director for Colombia. The executive will report to Silvia Mosquera, the company's Chief Commercial Officer.  

His challenge will be to lead the sales strategy for the country in all its segments and channels, as well as direct actions and commercial processes to increase Avianca's participation in the Colombian market.  

Copete, who has been working in the company as Director of Alliances, led the execution of commercial agreements (Joint Business Agreement - JBA) in conjunction with United Airlines and Copa Airlines. He was also Avianca's representative on the Board of Member Airlines of Star Alliance, and was in charge of the code-share negotiations and interline agreements signed in recent years. Additionally, he led the Avianca Express implementation and execution project.  

Before joining the company, he held different positions in financial entities, where he led product positioning strategies and increased market share.
