Volaris will offer PCR at airports in Mexico where it flies to the US

Volaris, the ultra-low-cost Mexican airline that operates in Mexico, the United States and Central America, is working on the logistics and technological implementation to comply with the provisions recently announced by the United States government, through its Centers for Control and Disease Prevention.

All passengers traveling to the northern country, as of January 26, must present at the departure airport the certificate of a negative viral test for COVID-19. Customers can perform either of the two available tests, the PCR or the Antigen test, and this must be carried out no more than three days before the flight.

If it is a recently recovered passenger, it is enough to present the documentation that supports their optimal health and a letter from the medical care provider or, failing that, from any public health official who authorizes the trip.

Similarly, passengers must present the declaration provided by the United States health authorities, duly signed, in which they testify their negative test or good health to travel. It should be noted that these measures apply to international travelers, citizens and legal residents of the United States.

“At Volaris we work in line with the authorities of the countries where we operate, as it is essential to lead an orderly and safe reactivation of the industry. Therefore, we will make rapid test service (Antigens) available to passengers at all airports in Mexico where we operate routes to the United States. The tests will be ready in 30 minutes and at a preferential price for Clients, since our priority is to safeguard their well-being in all stages of the trip, in the midst of a normalcy that requires us to adapt quickly to respond to new needs, ”said José Luis Suárez, director Volaris Operations Executive.
