ProColombia notes that both Air Canada and Bogotá's El Dorado International Airport have introduced comprehensive and comprehensive measures to ensure that visitors feel safe and confident when traveling.

Bogotá's El Dorado International Airport is only one of the three airports in the world to obtain the highest rating in biosafety matters, receiving five stars from the audit of the British firm Skytrax, which evaluated the measures taken by airports to combat the spread of the coronavirus. Meanwhile, Air Canada's CleanCare + program has been in operation since May 2020.

"We celebrate the launch of this new route with the Canadian market and we consider it an important step for our tourism industry to get back on track," says Flavia Santoro, president of ProColombia.

He adds: “This direct flight with Montreal also opens a door to new business opportunities that will allow us to continue positioning Colombia as a strategic commercial ally for Canada. It is also worth mentioning that Colombia is the first Latin American country to create a Tourism Biosafety Certification with the support of both the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the World Travel and Tourism Council. The message for all international travelers is that Colombia is a safe, biodiverse, charismatic and culturally rich destination, ready to receive them ”.
