31 providers of Miraflores receive the Safe Travels seal

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) today highlighted the delivery of the “Safe Travels” seal to 31 tourism service providers, located in the district of Miraflores, within the framework of the process of reactivating tourism activity in Peru.

It consists of ten lodgings, an artisan gallery, seven restaurants, four travel agencies and nine official tourist guides.

“The delivery of this badge to this first group of Miraflores service providers is a fundamental step in the process of reactivating the sector and recovering the confidence of visitors, nationals and foreigners, who arrive at this destination in the capital. representative for tourism in the country ”, he highlighted.

As it is recalled, on December 2, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Claudia Cornejo, gave the Miraflores district the “Safe Travels” seal, the first certificate in safety and hygiene in the world, in terms of tourism, before the COVID-19.

“´Miraflores´ 'is an emblematic destination of tourism in the country due to its attractions, history and tradition, its great tourist and cultural movement, its important hotel plant, its varied gastronomy, as well as its proximity to the sea, which makes it in a place preferred by national and foreign visitors ”, detailed the Mincetur.

ABOUT DELIVERY OF STAMPS
The Mincetur, as administrator of the seal in Peru, signed an agreement with the Municipality of Miraflores so that the commune can train, evaluate and monitor the application of sanitary protocols in the Miraflores destination.

 Thus, after a rigorous evaluation and control, the municipality granted the seal to this group of tourism service providers in its jurisdiction, which will guarantee services with all the sanitary provisions and the conditions established for the resumption of activities in the country.

“The commitment to the recovery of the sector, undertaken by the mayor of Miraflores Luis Molina, is taking firm steps. This work, in coordination with the Executive, shows us that the path is possible if we are organized and that tourism is a window of opportunity for the recovery of our country, ”said Mincetur.
