NH Hotel Group has been included in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index 2021 (GEI Gender-Equity Index) for its commitment and contribution to gender equality through policies that help to make visible and improve the presence of women in the company . The company was already part of this index last year, becoming the only Spanish hotel company among the 325 companies included in the GEI at that time.
In this edition of 2021, the index includes 380 companies from 44 countries and regions and belonging to eleven different sectors, such as tourism, automotive or banking. The GEI aims to analyze the performance of companies committed to gender equality in the workplace. Specifically, it analyzes the measures that each company has developed in five basic pillars: female leadership and talent portfolio, equal pay and gender parity, inclusive culture, policies against sexual harassment and the pro-woman brand.
NH Hotel Group has been included for obtaining a score equal to or higher than the global threshold established by Bloomberg, which reflects its high level of commitment and performance in the five pillars. The chain has obtained its best results in the pillars of female leadership and talent portfolio, equal pay and gender parity, and policies against sexual harassment.

NH Hotel Group: diversity and inclusion at all levels
NH Hotel Group is convinced that diversity is a key factor in creating a network of diverse talents, capable of understanding the needs of customers, innovating and reflecting society in the world business in this 3.0 era. Therefore, a fundamental pillar of the company's corporate culture is also based on diversity, equality and inclusion.
Currently, the nearly 13,000 employees of the Company are of 133 different nationalities. Of these, 22% work in countries other than their origin. Furthermore, 51% of the total workforce are women, who occupy 44% of the total managerial positions. In terms of age, in 2020, the percentage of employees between the ages of 25 and 40 stood at 44%.
All these advances have made NH Hotel Group a benchmark in the sector in terms of diversity, not only with respect to the group of women, but also in the different existing groups. The recognition of Bloomberg GEI in these last two years, as well as the inclusion of the Company in the EQUILEAP 2019 Ranking, positioning it as a leading company in Spain in defense of gender equality and in the Top 100 worldwide (position 48), are proof of it.
