Baha Mar prepares the total reopening

After closing its doors last April due to the global health crisis, the complex began a reopening in phases on December 17 that will be completed on March 4

Baha Mar, the leading tourist destination in The Bahamas, announces the reopening of SLS Baha Mar and Rosewood Baha Mar, as well as all its restaurants and other services, thus completing the final phase of its reopening that began last December with the revival of the Grand Hyatt, marking a significant step towards the economic recovery of The Bahamas. SLS Baha Mar and Rosewood Baha Mar will accept reservations for stays beginning March 4, 2021.

Baha Mar has introduced exceptional protocols to safely welcome tourists to The Bahamas by requiring weekly COVID-19 testing for its associates, as well as through rapid guest testing prior to check-in. and to local visitors who dine at the property, as well as offering PCR testing prior to guest departure to meet the travel requirements that various countries have established for the re-entry of their citizens. Testing is done on the property, in partnership with Doctors Hospital Nassau, and since last December more than 20,000 rapid and PCR tests have been provided.

The complex will continue to adhere to Baha Mar's Commitment to Well-being security program and Safe Travels initiative, with cleaning protocols that exceed its already rigorous standards. Reinforced security measures in food preparation, digital menus, contactless payments through a bracelet, digital reservation of experiences and extensive options for outdoor dining provide a safe and relaxed environment.

“Following the successful first phase of our reopening, we continue to move forward in our commitment to rebuilding a prosperous future for tourism in the Bahamas,” said Graeme Davis, president of Baha Mar. “By reopening SLS and Rosewood, we completed the reopening in stages of Baha Mar, and we welcome additional associates as well as our guests to this tourist destination. We have been honored with the incredible support of our community and we look forward to our full reopening as we chart the path of a safe and responsible return to The Bahamas. ”

By March 4, 2021, Baha Mar will employ 2,500 associates, which will set the course for economic recovery in The Bahamas, a nation that relies heavily on its tourism industry. The Bahamas has seen a sharp decline in COVID-19 cases since late 2020, thanks to the country's adherence to safe travel requirements for international travelers.
