Marriott International, Inc. today announced that it has signed an agreement with PGA Hotel Management Group to introduce Westin's first all-inclusive resort in South America. The Westin Porto de Galinhas, which is expected to receive its first guests in September 2021, will be the first establishment of the Westin Hotels & Resorts brand in Brazil after undergoing an extensive renovation.

"It is a great pleasure to work with PGA Hotel Management Group to introduce the extension of the Westin All-Inclusive brand and its exclusive wellness service, in one of the most beautiful regions of the northeast coast of Brazil", says Laurent de Kousemaeker, Director Development, Caribbean and Latin America, Marriott International. "After introducing the Marriott all-inclusive system in August 2019, we are excited to see it expand from Mexico and the Caribbean to Central America and now to South America," he stresses.

Located on a 20,000 square meter property facing the sea, the Westin Porto de Galinhas is located on one of the most famous beaches in Northeast Brazil and just minutes from the charming tourist center of Porto de Galinhas. The complex will offer 128 rooms and 36 spacious suites, some of which will include private terraces and Jacuzzis. The property will also feature five pools treated with state-of-the-art UV technology, direct access to the beach and an exclusive luxury spa. The plans also include programming for adults and children, seven days a week, and a range of quality food and beverages.

"We are very pleased to be working with Marriott International and bringing the Westin brand and the premium all-inclusive concept to Porto de Galinhas - a destination that already stands out not only for its natural beauty, but for its hospitality," said Eduardo Malheiros, CEO. of the PGA Group.

Given the growing demand for premium and luxurious all-inclusive stays, Marriott International has launched its all-inclusive platform in 2019 leveraging eight of its 30 iconic global brands. The prestigious Westin has been the world leader in wellness hospitality for more than a decade and is poised to present a unique experience to travelers at the destination. The expansion of this all-inclusive brand will offer a design inspired by nature, staying true to the promise of bringing guests closer to the outdoors.

"The design of the hotel is inspired by a contemporary style that emphasizes a tropicalist expression in terms of materials, textures and colors, all with the highest quality. With the incorporation of the Westin All Inclusive brand, the design will conform to aesthetic trends of the brand, always preserving the tropical aesthetic and context of Porto de Galinhas, "said Daniel Piana, architect and founder at DPA Designers, who is leading the transformation of the property.

Currently, Marriott International operates 13 hotels in Brazil under the brands JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, Renaissance, Autograph Collection, Four Points by Sheraton, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott Executive Apartments.
