Sofitel Bogotá Victoria Regia renews its spaces

The hotel reopened its doors at the end of 2020 and since then, it has become a differential option for visitors and residents of the city of the Colombian capital

The hotel developed a process of remodeling its infrastructure based on its slogan "Regia, Simply Chic".

The new spaces and style of the hotel have been an ideal opportunity to re-conceive the places that guests hope to find in the midst of the pandemic, which mix luxury and comfort with biosafety protocols.

The renovations that the hotel had were in charge of the renowned architect Miguel Soto, who coordinated all the aesthetics in front of the Colombian and French culture for this new phase of the hotel. Sofitel Bogotá Victoria Regia also included works by the Colombian artist Lina Sinisterra, as part of the setting and representation of the country; precisely the lobby has a sculpture by the artist called "El vortex del tiempo", which refers to the legend of "El Dorado".

For this remodeling, very Colombian aspects were taken into account, such as colors that emanate biodiversity, natural elements and mythical legends, to accommodate them together with colors such as gray that evoke the elegance, sophistication and chic atmosphere of the best luxury hotels in France.

As for the bar and restaurant, they are surrounded by green colors that represent emeralds, a precious stone that has several deposits in the country; this tonality also refers to the mountains that surround the city of Bogotá. Likewise, the blue color is part of the setting, which reminds that the city has the largest amount of moorland in Colombia.

According to Adriana Leal, general manager of Sofitel Bogotá Victoria Regia, the renovation seeks to turn the hotel into a destination in itself, inviting local clients to enjoy a getaway, our high-level gastronomy or find a great space to work with all the comfort and all the safety and hygiene protocols of the global ALL SAFE seal, certified by Bureau Veritas. "In these challenging times, we know that providing confidence to our customers with warm and safe experiences is vital. With renovated spaces we want to continue providing a luxury service to reactivate domestic tourism, hoping that the evolution of the pandemic will allow us to return to travel internationally in the near future".
