President-elect of Ecuador confirms the name of the Minister of Tourism

Guillermo Lasso, president-elect of Ecuador, confirmed yesterday morning to the new Minister of Tourism, it is Niels Olsen Peet, a Guayaquil tourist businessman and owner of La Hacienda La Danesa. The executive takes office on May 24. 

Through witter, the president-elect of Ecuador reported that he chose Olsen Peet for being a great entrepreneur "dedicated to the reactivation and prosperity of the sector." The political project of the new government is to turn tourism into an engine of sustainable development for the Andean country.

The three objectives that the Ministry will work on will be to promote tourism for economic reactivation, provide a financial break for the sector and recover transportation systems such as the train and air connectivity.
