All-inclusive luxury vacation brand announces reopenings, rebranding and revamped concepts
On June 5, Paradisus by Meliá, the all-inclusive luxury vacation brand owned and operated by the Spanish hotel chain Meliá Hotels International, will reopen Paradisus Palma Real. Additionally, on June 15, the brand's establishment formerly known as The Grand Reserve will officially open its doors as Paradisus Grand Cana.
Paradisus Palma Real, located in Playa Bávaro, is a distinguished beachfront establishment that has 784 oversized suites, 9 restaurants serving a variety of culinary delights, specialized treatments at YHI Spa, 27-hole golf course in Cocotal Country Club, turquoise waters, white sand beach and lush gardens. Paradisus Grand Cana, formerly known as The Grand Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real, will continue to be a resort focused on multigenerational vacation experiences, with luxurious services, exquisitely decorated facilities, endless entertainment and 432 suites. Both properties are home to The Reserve, the recently relaunched concept of Paradisus by Meliá. Guests of the Paradisus Palma Real can choose between two options: The Reserve (190 suites) and The Reserve Adults Only (146 suites). At the new Paradisus Grand Cana, The Reserve will include 108 suites with direct pool access and Mangu, the charming tropical restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, exclusively for The Reserve guests.
Guests staying at The Reserve have access to the specialized concierge service, including private check-in and check-out, personalized turndown service, individual assistance with priority reservations for activities and restaurants, access to an exclusive area at the pool and beach with personalized service and access to specially selected events throughout the resort, such as culinary events and glamping on the beach. The Reserve offers adult-only and family-friendly options. Adults have access to areas within each resort exclusively for adults, which include a restaurant, a lounge for check-in and check-out, as well as pool and beach areas.
“As we continue to welcome travelers, we are delighted to offer this elevated experience in Punta Cana,” comments André Gerondeau, CEO of Meliá Hotels International. "We know The Reserve is something special that will create lasting memories for our guests."
In May 2020, the Spanish hotel company announced the launch of the Stay Safe with Meliá program. The company has partnered with Bureau Veritas, a leading inspection, certification and testing company, to ensure that the Meliá Hotels International system achieves the highest standards in the management of preventive measures to combat COVID-19 in its hotels throughout the world. The 340 hotels in the chain have modified their facilities and redesigned all their processes to reduce direct interaction and maintain hygiene standards and social distancing in each establishment. These security measures include temperature controls of all guests upon arrival, special Covid-19 care kits with mask, gloves and hydroalcoholic gel.
