Peru is nominated as the best cruise destination in Latin America

Peru continues to shine in the eyes of the world. This time, it was nominated in two categories of the World Cruise Awards, a great initiative that seeks to recognize and celebrate excellence in the global cruise sector, reported the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ).

The organization of the event confirmed that our country has been considered this year as the Best River Cruise Destination in Latin America and the Best Cruise Destination in Latin America. The 16-week election window was extended until August 31, and you can vote through the link  https://worldcruiseawards.com/nominees/2021/latin-america .

The winners in each category will be announced at the opening ceremony of the World Cruise Awards gala, which is scheduled for October 24, 2021 in Dubai, the commercial capital of the United Arab Emirates.

These outstanding accolades are designed to promote growth, innovation and best practices on a global scale. World Cruise Awards is the sister event to the World Travel Awards, currently celebrating its 28th anniversary.

A few days ago, PROMPERÚ announced that the Peru.travel site, created to spread awareness of our country and the unique destinations we have to offer, was nominated in the Best Website category of a World Tourism Authority in the famous World Travel Tech Awards.

In addition, our country was mentioned in other categories that include the best provider of travel technology with artificial intelligence, the best airport website in the world, the best website for hotel reservations, among others.

Peru also has several nominations in the World Travel Awards South America 2021, where Machupicchu leads one of the categories (Leading Tourist Attraction in South America) and also competes to become the Best Culinary Destination in South America, the Leader in Whale Watching, the Leading Green Destination of the region, among other important mentions.
