The Mexican airline will begin to use it on flights to Chicago and Madrid
As of June 21, Aeroméxico, together with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), will implement a pilot test of the IATA Travel Pass, a digital application that will be available on routes from the City of Mexico to Chicago and Madrid.
IATA Travel Pass was created to simplify the customer experience, which allows to store, manage and validate the documentation required by different countries to travel, such as COVID-19 tests and / or vaccination certificates.
“Testing with the IATA Travel Pass is part of our digitization strategy to stay ahead and continue to offer a safe, agile and reliable travel experience. We will continue to implement all the initiatives that allow us to encourage the recovery of trips with modern and efficient tools ”, said Andrés Castañeda, Executive Vice President of Digital and Customer Experience at Aeroméxico.
“It is essential to have reliable and secure solutions for the verification of health credentials that meet government requirements, restore consumer confidence and achieve a sustainable recovery of the sector. The IATA Travel Pass assures governments that passengers comply with health requirements, streamlines migration processes and simplifies the experience for travelers. This will allow aviation to reconnect the world's economies, ”said Peter Cerdá, IATA Regional Vice President for the Americas.
Eligible customers on the aforementioned routes will be invited to participate in this Aeroméxico pilot test, which will be notified via email to be part of the experience by following a few simple steps:
The implementation of the IATA Travel Pass joins the efforts of Aeroméxico's Health and Hygiene Management System (SGSH), which seeks to guarantee a reliable travel experience under the highest security standards.
