The new airline World2Fly lands in Cancun

For the remainder of the year alone, the company will put more than 28,500 seats on sale at this destination

World2Fly, the new Spanish long-haul airline, has chosen Cancun for its first flight to Mexico on June 21. On the occasion of this event, passengers have been received at the Cancun airport with the traditional “baptism” of water launched by the fire department and a special show.

In addition, this first flight has also brought a group of 50 travel agents from Spain and Portugal to the destination, who have accepted the invitation of the Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council. The agents will know the excellence of this attractive enclave, with the aim of increasing their recommendation to tourists from both countries.

Engineer Darío Flota, general director of the Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council, highlights that “this connection helps to reinforce the position of the Mexican Caribbean in the European market and allows us to continue advancing in the tourist recovery. We appreciate the trust of the airline, as well as the travel agents who will visit us, and we hope that their experience in our destinations will help them to consolidate more clients for them. "

NewBlue, the vacation operator of the Spanish tourism group led by Gabriel Subías, has prepared a complete agenda of activities for these professionals in the sector. During their stay in Quintana Roo, the group will be received with a welcome party on the beach, they will enjoy premium excursions organized by the receptive W2M and they will get to know some of the hotels in the region (Iberostar, Meliá, Catalonia and Riu, among others) .

Newblue is a new, more customizable way of traveling to the Caribbean and Island destinations, a totally flexible, unique experience tailored to the client's needs. Its wide range of offers to the destination is available in all travel agencies in Spain and Portugal.

World2Fly will fly to Cancun on Sundays from Lisbon, and Mondays and Fridays from Madrid. For the remainder of the year alone, the company will sell more than 28,500 seats to this destination.

“We are convinced that Cancun is going to be the spearhead in the recovery of tourism after such a critical year that we have had to live. From our tourist group, we are going to make a great effort to promote this wonderful destination ”, says Alejandro Suárez, vice president for the Americas of W2M.

W2M has its own office in Quintana Roo, with more than 50 professionals, which allow it to offer all the receptive services of hotels, transportation, assistance, tours, circuits, groups and cruises to all its clients.
