From now on, the Colombian airline offers flights to the Dominican destination on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
Flight AV220 left today at 8:45 a.m. to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, marking the beginning of this new direct route that consolidates the airline's proposal to expand its nonstop connectivity offer.
Avianca becomes the first operator to connect both destinations directly. The Medellín - Punta Cana route will have 4 weekly frequencies in Airbus A320 aircraft, with capacity for 120 people, and an offer of more than 4 thousand seats per month.
“Our mission is clear: to offer more and better direct connectivity options for the regions of Colombia, stimulating the reactivation of tourism. Antioquia has always been a relevant region for Avianca and that is why we want to continue strengthening our network of routes from Medellín, with competitive prices for our clients and a simpler product that allows them to customize their trip according to their needs ”, expressed Ana María Copete, director Sales Colombia.
This opening is in addition to the launch of another new Medellín - Cancun route, which will begin operations tomorrow, July 2.
