Disney Cruise Line announces new dining experiences aboard Disney Wish

Among the different options, passengers will be able to choose a Marvel themed restaurant

Disney Cruise Line takes the concept of immersive family dining to another level with the debut of "Avengers: Quantum Encounter" at the Worlds of Marvel restaurant, aboard the Disney Wish. Launching in the summer of 2022, this new cinematic food adventure will bring together some of the most powerful - and little - superheroes on Earth in a demonstration of revolutionary quantum technology and high-end cuisine.

"Avengers: Quantum Encounter is the most ambitious dining experience we've ever created for Disney Cruise Line," said Danny Handke, Senior Creative Director, Walt Disney Imagineering. “We are developing a novel restaurant concept that will use sophisticated technology and innovative storytelling to place our guests at the center of an Avengers adventure. It's the perfect complement to the incredible menu of Disney story-inspired restaurants aboard the Disney Wish"
Guests aboard this new cruise will also be able to enjoy Marceline Market and Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods, two new fast food options to feast on throughout the day.
Worlds of Marvel is Marvel's first cinematic foodie adventure where guests can take part in an action-packed Avengers mission that unfolds around them, while enjoying an international menu inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Cinematic food
"Avengers: Quantum Encounter" will follow Ant-Man and The Wasp as they embark on their first job as spokespeople for the Avengers. Eager to impress audiences, they will give a special presentation of the most powerful technology in superheroes, such as Captain America's shield, Iron Man's reactor, and Ant-Man's Pym particles, giving visitors a glimpse of holograms, reports top secrets and iconic scenes from the Marvel movies on the screens surrounding the restaurant.

The highlight of the presentation is a demonstration of Pym's latest technology, "Quantum Core", which uses cutting-edge technology - extremely unstable - to shrink and enlarge objects with the push of a button. A few "failed attempts" will result in hilarious Ant-Man-style shenanigans, but the real problem begins when an unexpected villain shows up accompanied by a fearsome army, eager to get their hands on this powerful quantum technology. Ant-Man and The Wasp will need all the help they can get to save the day, asking for support from Captain America, Captain Marvel and the brave diners of Disney Wish.

Quantum technology
Every table in Worlds of Marvel will feature an interactive "Quantum Core," "a completely new device that can make objects shrink and grow remotely." Guests will help Ant-Man and The Wasp as they do some small-scale tests, like reducing the size of a suitcase for easier stateroom storage.
By activating enough quantum nuclei at the same time, the whole place will be overloaded and the energy will cause vibrations in the walls and ceiling. Equipped with state-of-the-art Pym technology and adorned with signature Stark style, the Worlds of Marvel design will deliver surprises in all shapes and sizes, from a distinctive Marvel hexagon-shaped symbol, to various winks and hidden details throughout the game. show.

Menu inspired around the world
True to its name, Worlds of Marvel will take families on a flavorful tour of the real and fictional settings of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with dishes inspired by legendary locations like Wakanda in Africa, Sokovia in Eastern Europe and the base of Avengers operations in New York City. Although the menus are still in development, visitors can expect a variety of internationally inspired memorabilia and fun references to the worlds and characters they know and love from Marvel movies.

New fast food options for families
While Disney Wish will offer world-class dining experiences, families will also be able to enjoy other quick and convenient options, with more casual dining options than ever before.

Marceline Market
Named after Walt Disney's hometown of Missouri, Marceline Market is a vibrant concept inspired by popular markets around the world. Here, guests will find an ever-changing menu presented in an eclectic, free-flowing setting, with indoor and outdoor seating and stunning views of the ocean all around.
With ten food stalls and a drinks bar in the center, Marceline Market will have the flair of an old industrial loft turned into a bustling market, but with a distinctive touch of Disney design: in this dining room, the owners of the premises are Disney characters as each season is inspired by animated movies like "Tangled", "Ratatouille", "Alice in Wonderland", "Zootopia" and more.
The characters who man the booths will select a wide variety of freshly prepared dishes for the whole family to enjoy, including American classics, international specialties, comfort food, seafood, soups and salads, vegetarian and vegan dishes, pastries and desserts.
Marceline Market will offer a casual, mobile dining experience for breakfast and lunch, followed by a dinner service with entrées cooked to order.

"Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods"
Located right in the middle of the fun on the upper decks, "Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods" will be the perfect place for families to grab a quick bite for lunch, dinner, or any time of the day. Hungry guests will enjoy a variety of popular cruise ship snacks, like Disney Cruise Line's signature ice cream, as well as two brand-new options: Disney Wish will feature top-of-the-line steakhouses and Mexican snacks.
Also serving up delicious American classics and other nibbles, this open-air restaurant features five uniquely themed food stands: Mickey's Smokestack Barbecue, Donald's Cantina, Daisy's Pizza Pies, Goofy's Grill, and Sweet Minnie's Ice Cream.
The design is inspired by the classic boardwalk from the popular "Mickey Mouse" animated shorts, similar to the Mickey and friends theme on the upper decks. A large shaded seating area will provide a comfortable space for families to relax and enjoy food.
