Belize to resume air connectivity with Houston and Denver

The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) has announced that Southwest Airlines will resume flights from both US cities starting November 7th

The airline will offer direct service from Houston Sunday through Saturday, departing Houston at 10:55 am and arriving in Belize at 1:15 pm. The flight will depart Belize at 2:10 pm. and will arrive in Houston at 4:40 pm. However, on Saturdays the flight will depart Houston at the same time, but will return a little later at 4:45 pm. arriving in Houston at 7:50 pm.

The flight from Denver will only be on Saturdays. He will depart at 10:50 am and arrive in Belize at 3:50 pm. The flight will depart Belize at 2:10 pm. and will arrive in Denver at 5:40 pm.

Southwest began flying to Belize from Denver in early 2017. The airline also offered direct service from Houston Hobby International Airport and later added a direct flight from Ft. Lauderdale. However, all flights ceased due to the closure of the PGIA due to the pandemic.

Air connectivity is the pedigree of Belize's tourism industry. BTB therefore welcomes the resumption of Southwest Airline flights because it will make it easier for travelers to enjoy the beauty, multiple attractions and warm hospitality of Belize at a time when the industry is now recovering.
