Sofitel Bogotá Victoria Regia, part of the Accor Group, announced the selection of Alejandro Petricevich Spinelli as its new General Manager, effective as of August 2021.
Under this new position, Alejandro has the responsibilities of planning and developing new strategies to recover and strengthen luxury tourism in Bogotá with a focus on elevated and personalized experiences through culture, gastronomy, well-being and design.
Alejandro has a career of more than 11 years at Accor. He started as IT AMLAT Coordinator reporting to the IT Headquarters in Brazil, from where he participated in the openings of Sofitel Montevideo Casino Carrasco & Spa, Mercure Montevideo, Mercure Iguazú, ibis Pilar, ibis Cartagena, rebranding The Brick MGallery (now Sofitel Buenos Aires Recoleta ) and was Project Manager in IT initiatives for hotels and Headquarters in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia and Peru.

Alejandro comes from successfully serving as general manager of Mercure Santa Marta Emile, where he set - together with team members - innovative recovery strategies against the Covid-19 pandemic, especially by sustaining and raising RevPAR and ADR, increasing occupancy hotel company in the midst of the crisis and to reactivate the economy around tourism in the Colombian Caribbean, especially in the department of Magdalena and its capital, Santa Marta.
Among the outstanding actions of Alejandro Spinelli are the implementation of health protocols and standards to generate confidence in tourists, the promotion of Santa Marta as a tourist destination and the work coordinated with the Magdalena Government and the local Mayor to attract events such as the South American Games. de Mar y Playa 2023 and the Central American Games of Mar y Playa 2022.
