The Canadian airline will activate routes to important destinations such as Cancun and Tampa
Air Canada Rouge, Air Canada's leisure carrier, resumed service with flights between Toronto and Las Vegas, Orlando and Regina, and other destinations, including Cancun and Tampa, will be introduced in September.
"Air Canada Rouge continues to be an integral part of Air Canada's global strategy. As we emerge from the pandemic, we anticipate increasing demand for vacation travel and for customers flying to enjoy late visits with family and friends. Air Canada's leisure carrier is ideal to serve this market with an attractive range of leisure destinations and an engaging travel experience so that the vacation begins as soon as customers board an Air Canada Rouge aircraft, "said Jon Turner , Vice President of Flight Services and President of Air Canada Rouge Operations.
Air Canada Rouge also offered a preview of the cabin interior that will be available on nine Airbus A321 aircraft in the Rouge fleet of 39 aircraft, with the first entering service later this fall.
These nine aircraft feature a new contemporary interior design with playful Rouge accents and will be configured with leather seats, spaced 30 inches apart in the Economy cabin. The A321 Rouge aircraft also offer enhanced personal power options, including USB-C ports, and a convenient holder for personal electronic devices integrated into the seat back.
With the resumption of Air Canada's Rouge service, which had been suspended since spring 2021, customers can also enjoy recent product and design enhancements on board all Rouge aircraft, including:
Enhanced streaming entertainment: passengers no longer need to use an app to enjoy content, they can now stream hours of television and movies available for free directly to their own device via their web browser or on their free and sanitized iPad in Premium Rouge.
Revamped Uniforms - Rouge flight attendants will be sporting a new uniform featuring many pieces from Air Canada's award-winning mainline uniform, accented with new neckwear and briefs to represent the Rouge brand.
All Air Canada Rouge flights are operated by narrow-body Airbus aircraft offering high-speed Wi-Fi (available for purchase) and a selection of Premium Rouge and Economy services. Customers traveling in the Premium Rouge cabin will receive a complimentary bar and beverage service, and a complimentary meal on flights of more than two hours, or a snack on flights of shorter duration.
All flights are operated with Air Canada's CleanCare + biosecurity suite. Customers can accumulate and redeem Aeroplan points through Canada's leading loyalty program when they travel, plus eligible passengers have access to priority check-in, Maple Leaf Lounges, priority boarding and other benefits.
