JetSMART is awarded as the best low cost airline in South America

The ultra low cost airline JetSMART Airlines was recognized this day as the best low cost airline in South America by Skytrax, a global organization that carries out the World Airline Awards 2021, considered the "Oscars" of the airline industry.

Due to the arrival of the pandemic and the impact that the health crisis had on the airline sector, the survey for the World Airline Awards was carried out in an unprecedented way for 23 months -between September 2019 and July 2021-, and the awards 2021 represent a mix of travel times in normal pre-pandemic times and travel during the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Clientes de más de 100 nacionalidades participaron en la encuesta, y los premios de este año se basaron en 13,42 millones de participaciones en la encuesta que se contabilizaron en los resultados finales (88% de ellas se registradas hasta marzo de 2020).

In the regional ranking, JetSMART ranks third among all South American airlines, both traditional and low cost. And worldwide, JetSMART is positioned as number 17 worldwide in the low cost.
