The hotel chain of Mexican origin closes this season recovering turnover volume and expansion plans
Posadas is the largest and most important Mexican hotel operator in the country. The firm has properties in urban and beach destinations located in both Mexico and the Dominican Republic. The chain has gained great recognition for having brands such as Live Aqua, Grand Fiesta Americana, Curamoria Collection, Fiesta Americana, The Explorean, Fiesta Inn, Gamma and one.
To find out more about his current affairs, we have exclusively interviewed his Senior VP of Sales and Marketing Jorn Kaae. We share their responses below:
How do you describe the situation of Grupo Posadas?
We are in a position to grow and with many projects in mind and we currently have 195 properties in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, but we continue to seek opportunities in Caribbean countries.
How has 2021 been for you?
This year we have had great growth throughout the season at the resorts. While hotels in cities have increased their demand in Q3 and Q4.
What is your vision for the next season?
We are very optimistic about 2022. We have noticed significant growth in resorts especially and now corporate tourism and the MICE segment are also growing, where we already notice significant demand in the first half of next year.
We have participated in events such as IBTM Americas and IMEX Las Vegas where we have noticed a significant interest in our properties.
What are your most important source markets at the moment?
We are developing sales in many countries of the world. But our main market for the resorts is the United States followed by Mexico. We are also seeing growth in markets like Canada and Latin America. Especially in Brazil Argentina and Colombia.
At a time when the trade has taken center stage, how do you work with this segment?
We are very focused on working hand in hand with agencies and operators, we have a program to retain them, train them, carry out FAMs and support them in whatever they need. We are clear that we need to boost sales by working together.
In such a competitive market, how is the company positioned?
We are a hotel chain with more than 50 years in business, we have very important brands and we are in a position to offer the best experience for all types of clients. Another of the great values we have is our Fiesta Rewards program with which we reward the loyalty of our members with great incentives.
