Accor opens its first MGallery in Uruguay

Hotel Costanero MGallery debuts in Montevideo

MGallery Hotel Collection announces the opening of Costanero Montevideo MGallery, the first of the brand in Uruguay, to offer its guests and clients a unique experience with a modern design that attracts travel lovers, both for business and pleasure. 

The Hotel Costanero MGallery is located in a privileged point of Montevideo, in one of the areas with the greatest business and gastronomic movement, in front of the Playa de los Pocitos and close to shopping centers. It has 92 modern rooms, equipped with home automation technology, which makes them smart; a state-of-the-art gym, massage room, sauna, swimming pool with a built-in counter-current swimming system. In addition, it has rooms enabled to hold events for up to 110 people, three air rooms for meetings of up to 6 people and a VIP room for private activities, all with high-speed internet access and gastronomic services provided by the Cauce Restaurant.

The Cauce Restaurant and Bar, located in the heart of the hotel, will have a proposal focused on Uruguayan gastronomy fused with Mediterranean influences, seeking to give new life to local classics. Chef Matias Faroppa, with extensive national and international experience in Michelin-starred restaurants, leads this new gastronomic offer.

The Bar will have a proposal based on Spanish tapas and a great variety of signature drinks, framed by its impressive view of the Río de la Plata on the Rambla República del Perú, which will undoubtedly make it a must-see in the Uruguayan capital. 

The project was created with a sustainable vision. Solar panels and an innovative heating and cooling system that allow thermal insulation of the façade were integrated into the construction as part of the commitment to responsible tourism.

The design was carried out by Estudio Penha from São Paulo, Brazil, who delved into the Montevideo soul and were inspired by the work of local artists, the architectural details and the historic houses that are all over the city, to express the atmosphere Mgallery brand city man.
