In this way, the air connectivity of the Mexican Caribbean is strengthened mainly with the United States, with the arrival in Cancun of flights from the destinations: Baltimore, Boston, Columbus, Denver, Minneapolis and Raleigh - Durham with Frontier Airlines. Likewise, the airline American Airlines recently arrived in Chetumal from Miami. As for Central and South America, the strengthening occurred since the beginning of this month with the arrival in Cancun of flights from Flores, Guatemala with TAG Airlines and from San José, Costa Rica with Avianca; in addition to the new Aeroméxico route from Sao Paulo, Brazil that begins this December 15.

Meanwhile, in Cozumel the Canadian and American market is also being strengthened with flights from Minneapolis, through Suncountry, which began on December 11 and will do so until April 9, 2022 with two weekly frequencies: Wednesdays and Saturdays, and a increase on Mondays and Fridays starting in February. American Airlines will also arrive, from Philadelphia, in the same way by season, from December 18 to March 26, 2022 with a weekly frequency on Saturdays; While United Airlines will operate from Los Angeles from December 18 to January 2, 2022 on Saturdays and Sundays. An increase in frequencies from Dallas, Texas and Toronto, Canada is also scheduled.
