Good lighting, isolated sound and minimalist details make guests highlight a more modern aspect, essential for maximum comfort during their stay.
Remodeling a space must always go further, our new design will ensure that the traveler has a pleasant experience so that on his next trip his memories will lead him to book with us again, that has always been the main objective.
The design inspiration was totally based on the conceptual narrative developed for the project, which focused on an exploration of different historical, physical and social qualities unique to Mexico City and to the Polanco area that are being reinterpreted in a new way. non-literal way and generating everything fundamental included in the design.
The clean and decisive lines of modern Mexican architecture are interwoven with organic materials that represent the chinampas; the unique art representation is inspired by the boldness of street art that is intrinsic to the city's visual culture.
Additionally, different points were taken into account to improve the efficiency of all the aspects to be renewed:
• Energy efficient through LED lighting was implemented
• Sustainably produced wood was used for the room floors
• Existing entry doors and multiple existing details were salvaged, completely renovated and given new life instead of throwing them away
Unique elements are included to make a memorable stay such as:
• Hardwood floors in bedrooms with handwoven rugs
• Bespoke artwork developed specifically for the project.
• Closet deconstructed reimagined as a luxury retail experience.
• The traditional swing door in the bedroom was replaced with a sliding barn door to maximize the use of space in the bathroom and closet areas.
• Use of details in metal and stone.
Undoubtedly, these details in the renovated rooms of JW Marriott Mexico City have the warmth and luxury that has always characterized the city's flagship property.
