With the aim of promoting an informative policy and direct interaction with formal tourism companies -unionized and non-unionized-; The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ) met with more than 140 representatives of unions, companies and specialized agents of tourist services to publicize the promotion plans in international markets that the institution will execute during the present year.
The activity was carried out virtually through an open day or open house, a format that allowed for 288 one-to-one meetings led by officials from the PROMPERÚ Tourism Promotion Department and the Incoming Tourism Sub-directorate. In addition, around 108 additional appointments to those already made were scheduled for the following week in order to meet the demands of the commercial channel.
During the meetings, the results obtained during 2021 in terms of tourism promotion in the main receptive markets were announced. In addition, the promotional actions that will be carried out this year were detailed, such as promotional campaigns, strategic alliances with companies in the world tourism sector, participation in international fairs, the organization of business roundtables and training actions for operators and travel agencies, among others. others.

Finally, the dissemination of the “Turimo In” platform was reinforced, a PROMPERÚ service that informs, trains and provides updated content on the sector such as studies and trends in the tourism sector.
