Novotel arrives in northern Chile

Novotel Arica aspires to become the favorite of visitors to the city of "eternal spring"

Novotel, a leading brand within the Accor group, recently opened Novotel Arica, the first international-class hotel in the north of Chile. With a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean, this avant-garde property has 144 modern rooms, large common areas to meet with friends and family, and a unique decoration inspired by Andean culture.

“We arrived in Arica with one of our most powerful brands. This strategic location, which connects Chile with Peru and Bolivia, will allow us to position ourselves as a benchmark for style and comfort in these countries, consolidating our expansion in the region”, said Franck Pruvost, Accor's director of operations for Hispanic countries. “Novotel Arica is the brand's fifth hotel in Chile. We are sure that, together with Santiago and Viña del Mar, it will stand out as an example of our growing commitment to the development of tourism in Chile”.

The hotel's proposal is designed for people who travel for both pleasure and business and who seek a balance between their activities. Under the "Time is on your side" concept, Novotel Arica will provide experiences to reconnect and share, whether in the lounge, on the terrace, in the bar or in its pool with hydromassage.

Andrés Sanhueza, General Manager of Novotel Arica, emphasized the global popularity of the brand and assured that “His arrival adds a new and exciting dimension to our community, allowing the city to continue to grow and flourish. It is a hotel for all ages, to enjoy a comfortable and relaxed style, a social place where people want to spend the afternoon having a pisco sour, a coffee or a delicious lunch with their family and friends”.

DETAILS THAT MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

The decoration is completely inspired by the north of Chile. The reception area and first floor are lined with ashlar stone walls, white volcanic stone, originally from Arequipa. With double-height ceilings, its entire first floor provides a feeling of spaciousness and freshness, with an elegant and contemporary design.

Balancing the need to attract both international visitors and the local community, Novotel Arica offers an innovative and varied gastronomic offer, fresh cuisine, based on seasonal products and ingredients, endemic to Arica and its surroundings. Chef Marco González collaborates with local suppliers from the Azapa Valley, with the aim of boosting the local economy and celebrating the flavors of the great north of Chile.

The hotel also has a gourmet bar that has developed a more transversal and international concept, with a varied menu and an attractive drinks menu. Which, added to its cozy and relaxed atmosphere, will undoubtedly make people talk in Arica.

"One of the great attractions of Novotel Arica will be its entertaining and animated programming, designed to captivate all its clients with proposals to relax and enjoy their free time," added Sanhueza. “On the weekend we will have great Sunday brunches for adults and children, and from Thursday to Sunday we will have various activities with live music, DJs, bands and much more.”

Unmissable destination
Arica offers endless outdoor adventures. Novotel guests have easy and direct access to the beach, thanks to its beachfront location. The city is perfect for water sports such as kayaking or surfing. This part of the Pacific is famous for its excellent waves and warm waters, attracting all levels of surfers, from professionals to beginners.

In addition, other panoramas are added such as touring the wetlands a few meters from the hotel, walking along the waterfront, kayaking, visiting the Cuevas de Anzota, where you can see the caves, cliffs and fauna of the sector, observe the imposing Morro de Arica or visit the Azapa Valley and its museum, where the chinchorro mummies are found, the oldest in the world, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
